I haven't been near a computer since Sunday morning but as I munched my toast this morning, I flipped through my email and skimmed my Friends List.  Much to do today as I step back into family life; lots to unpack, tidy up, and Julia's birthday party is tomorrow afternoon.

After lots of paint and shuffling of furniture, my former office area has been transformed into my new scrapbook area (aka the "mom cave").  I had thought about taking over Kim's bedroom once she has left for university, but I like being out here where I can talk with Jack and the girls, watch tv, etc.

Julia and I were talking about what she wanted to do for her birthday party this year and I started looking online for ideas.  As I was looking at various cakes, I saw this one and decided I'm going to make it for my own birthday this year :-)

This one looks pretty good too, except for the Nasty-Nestle KitKats ;-)

Last night (and tonight) I worked with a staff member who is moody and doesn't like me.  I felt like I had to weigh my words before I spoke and walk on eggshells all night - add to that the fact that I had to work a night shift and pump gas in a cloud of mosquitoes and I was not loving my job at all last night.  When I came home, Kim and her friend ( Read more... )
